Thanksgiving Basket Drive
This year, the Youth Ministry is leading the annual LBC Thanksgiving Basket Drive. We plan to help 25 families with the Loudoun Homeless Service Center. Some families live on site and others have transitioned to homes of their own. Most families are single-parent households with 1-3 children. We will be helping one family: a two-parent household with 11 children.
Please sign up to bring items based to you last name. Please pick up your list at the end of service on Sunday at the Family Life Table. Donations will be accepted through Sunday November 23rd. Thank you for your commitment to serving and your willingness to help others.
In Previous Years...
For the 2013 Thanksgiving Food Drive, we partnered with the Loudoun Homeless Shelter. We collected food and grocery store gift cards to provide baskets to 11 families in transition. Through your kindness and willingness to help others, we exceeded our goal!
We thank everyone who prayed, made contributions, donated time, food, or gift cards; you made this a success. We also thank our partners, the 20/20 Club, Giant Food on Gloucester Parkway in Ashburn, and our Youth Ministry who helped pack the baskets.
LBC launched its first Thanksgiving Food Drive several years ago to provide children at a local elementary school food over the holidays. Since then, the Thanksgiving Food Drive has become an annual effort for LBC. Please pray for this food drive, as LBC and it’s partners make an impact on the lives of the people in this community.
